joining the dots

Today, I'm going to introduce a friend from my city Hiroshima. I met kamigaki last spring and this summer I went to visit his office. He is an illustrator that runs an design agency called IC4 Design. I've seen some amazing illustration in his office. It is really nice to see someone works and based Hiroshima. People usually tend to go to Tokyo when they are doing good at business, I respect people that stay where they like and doing well. I have to worry about my next year as my visa is running out in October, unless I get a working visa I have to go back to Japan. At the moment as I've done University here in London, I'd like to have some experience over here rather than in Japan. We'll see....


今日は広島より IC4 Design の上垣さんを紹介したいと思います。彼と初めて会ったのは、僕がよく行くショップREFLEXIONに行った時でした。といってもその時はちょこっと挨拶しただけだったんですが、この夏、元フラット名とのアイナー（Friend 1 参照）が広島に来ていた時の事です。REFLEXIONのオーナーのKEN5さんから電話があり、上垣さんがアイナーを取材したいとのことで、すっ飛んで行きました。それからオフィスに遊びに行かせてもらったり、色々面白い話を聞かせてもらったりしました。（ノルウェーの事とか多分アイナーより知っていたかも）上垣氏はイラストレーター＆デザイナーでオフィスに行ったときに作品を見せてもらいました。独特の雰囲気があり何か懐かしい気分にさせてくれる作品だと思いました。ウェブページを是非のぞいてみて下さい、色々と面白い企画もやっているみたいです。
